Experimental build
Hey there!
I'm Potato,
These 10 days was hard, we experimented, drew and scrapped ideas, added content and just worked to see what would be nice idea and whats decent to implement.
Mig had rough time getting into this project and was mainly busy with his life.
So I worked on implementing stuff, which does not require lore or stuff, since he was the one, who created lore and almost made it into a book, which is insane!
First thing I tried to play with was decentralized text, so I can implement language, used google translate to make Portuguese menu demo, but it seems I made something that Portuguese will laugh at.
Second thing was first steps into mobs, with addition of cute little bunny, which just roams around and does not interact with anything.
With PotatoThing request, I expanded map and implemented new island and path to it. Its small island with water without collision.
With Onion help we made few new berries, that can be unlocked with higher level of foraging. For more berries, fell free to comment on them and give art, we are using 32x32 art for items.
Not to forget that we set up corner stone of quest system menu, which is currently only rough prototype, despite that, Potatothings is proud, cause he managed to do Migs quest from press of start to finishing Migs quest in 50 seconds, which is pretty impressive.
One of the best features so far, is you can no longer die in soul world, since Surly can patch even your death. So do not worry, as ghost you cannot gather berries sadly... Our little ghost does not posses any hands :(
One of the weirdest change we did, was caloric change, food is no longer represented with %, but rather with kcal, cause we are seeking dynamic food balancing. If you are hulk, you should eat as hulk, cause we do not believe, that hulk would be satisfied with handful of berries.
Also be careful, you should not run with fool backpack :D you might get hurt.
